It's time to sew up two more blocks and I hope you are enjoying this as much as I am. I am so excited to be getting a jump start on my holiday sewing instead of waiting until the last minute this year!

Today we are going to sew the Tea Cup Block and the Mitten Block from the Sleigh Bell Sampler quilt.

Click HERE to see the list of guest bloggers that will be joining us and if you are gathering your fabrics you can Click here for the fabric requirements.
First up today is the Tea Cup block.
Happy Quilting is our guest blogger for this block so please pop over and visit her blog.
Grab your Winter Wonderland Book and your favorite Christmas fabrics and let's get started!

Turn to page 75 and cut out all the pieced needed for the Tea Cup.

I love this part...sewing it all up!
Diagonally sew E unit to the bottom corners of H unit to form cup.

Now for the cup handle....diagonally stitch G unit to K unit. Be sure to make one of each.

Stitch an F and K unit together with handle sides.

Stitch tea cup handle together with D and C unit.

Stitch handle to side of tea cup and stitch B unit to other side of cup.

Diagonally stitch E unit to both sides of I unit to make saucer.

Stitch saucer to bottom of cup and stitch A unit to top of tea cup.

And we are done with another block! Yay!!

Now on to the Mitten block..... In The Book Docks is our guest for this block so be sure to hope over there and see her cute mitten!
To get started on the mitten, turn to page 77 and cut out all your pieces.

This block has more pieces but don't worry, it goes together very quickly and easily.
Let start with diagonally stitching E unit to both sides of L unit to make the top of the mitten.

Now for the Chevron section.....diagonally stitch M unit to N unit and make two right ones and three left ones.

Repeat with the other side of the N unit.

Stitch pieces together to form Chevron.

Diagonally stitch E unit to J unit to make mitten bottom.

Now Diagonally stitch G unit to K unit to make thumb unit.

Stitch B unit to the top of the thumb unit.

Stitch mitten top, chevron unit and mitten bottom together.

Stitch thumb to side of mitten.

Diagonally stitch A unit to bottom right corner of mitten....it's starting to take shape!

Stitch F units to both sides of mitten.

For the mitten cuff, we need to sew four H units together with three I units, one D unit and one C unit....look at that cute cuff!

Stitch cuff to bottom of mitten and we are done!

I would love to see your finished blocks so be sure to hashtag them with #verysherrichristmas. You can also find out the other projects I am working on by following along on Instagram and Facebook.
Did you see the gift bag I posted the other day? I am so happy with how this turned out. I think he is so cute and I just may end up using this one for a knitting bag during the holidays instead of giving it away.

The pattern works perfectly with both of these blocks we sewed today or any of the Sleighbell Sampler blocks. Another fun project to get a jump start on your holiday sewing!
