With the New Year underway, its nice to look back at the things we enjoyed about 2015. One of the things I enjoyed was sewing! A fun way to get rolling on a new project is with the The Fat Quarter Shop and all their wonderful videos to help us along the way. I am very excited to be included in the celebration of their Top 10 Videos of 2015 blog hop. I am going to share with you my project using the Single Wedding Ring.
To start off the New Year I decided my table need a new runner to spice it up so I made three of the Single Wedding Ring blocks. I made the center ring from one fabric and the outer points from another to give it a scrappier look. I love scrappy!
I quilted it with an overall swirly design and I confess that I put the binding on by machine (to the back first, then folded to the front.) I like the machine binding on runners because I know it is going to get food slopped on it and I want it to stand up in the wash.
I think it also looks good on my ladder for a splash of color in my living room.
