Happy Monday! After a fun filled weekend I know it's hard to get back to work and a schedule on Monday's so I hope sewing along on the Gingham Stars brightens your day as it does mine.
If you are just joining in, you will need some of your favorite fabric and the Holiday Wishes Book. If you need the book, check with your local quilt shop or I also have it in my Etsy shop for you with free shipping.
Last week, we sewed up the plaid block centers of the stars.
This week we will be sewing the borders on the plaid block centers. I am keeping it kind of simple this week because although last week was a great start to our quilt, it was alot of sewing. So this week, we will be keeping it short and sweet.
Turn to page 8 in the book and sew the I rectangles to the sides and H rectangles to the top of bottom of the blocks, pressing as shown by the arrows.
I love how this block looks just like this and think it would be a super cute pot holder....might have to do an extra one for that!
I would love to have you post pictures of your progress on my Facebook page or in my Sweet Stitchin Group on Facebook. Or you can tag me on Instagram. Let's use the hashtag #Ginghamstarssewalong to make it easier for us to see each others quilt.
See you next week for more sewing!
P.S. I have added the link to my Etsy shop in the upper right column to make it easier for you to find my patterns. I also have my knitting/crochet/crafting bags on there if you are a bag lover like me.
If there is every a pattern you are looking for and can't find it at your local shop or my Etsy Shop, just let me know and I will add it for you. I am trying to add new patterns all the time so be sure to favor my Etsy to receive the latest updates.
