December always goes way to fast for me. This year I spent the first weekend teaching in Portland at the Hollyhill Quilt Shoppe which I love to do. The shop is so beautiful and the people are amazing!
I taught how to make stamped candles. We thought it would fun to do something that didn't require sewing since all the other projects were sewn. I think people enjoyed it, I know I did!
I have been doing a little personal Christmas sewing too. I pulled out my Tumbleweeds pattern that was one of the first mini quilts I designed and that has been out of print for a while.
I always like to test my color choices by making one block.
I need a new table topper and I love how this is turning out. But now I am wondering if I might make it into a pillow because I love tons of pillows on the sofa's. I will decide and finish it up today. Maybe I should make a second for a table topper?
Because I still love this Tumbleweeds pattern but the cover is out of print, I have added it to my Etsy Shop as a download pattern so if you would like to join me and sew one up, you now you can. And it is on sale until Friday!
As a little bonus for all my sweet quilting readers.....use the code JINGLE in my Etsy shop and you will receive 20% off your purchase. The code is good until December 31st. Be sure to favor the shop (click the cute heart) so you receive the latest shop updates too!
I have been adding more patterns to the shop as I can also. I always highly recommend that you check with your local quilt shop first to see if they carry my patterns as they are so important to us and our communities.
What is your favorite quilt sewing project that you like to make for the holidays?
I would love to see what you have been sewing too! Tag me on Instagram or share on my Facebook page. And you can also find me HERE in my Sweet Stitchin Group on Facebook. We will be starting another mystery next year in my group if you would like to join us.
