Spring is almost here, but I have just finished sending the new Christmas book off to the printers. It funny how we have Christmas, clean up the decorations and get the house back in order, then a month or so later, I start working on the projects for the next Christmas! I thought you would like to take a peek at some of the projects that will be in the book. The book is called Frosted Memories, which is the same name of the fabric line used. (I have the worst time naming my patterns and books, so I just go with the great names that Eileen comes up with!) The fabric was designed by Holly Taylor of Moda. Eileen and Lynn always do such a great job! I love all of their fabric lines, but Christmas is my favorite.
I love cream quilts, this one is named "Frosted Memories" I used it for the cover of the book, it seemed very fitting.
This wall hanging is called Cabin Fever. It is made with 1 Honey Bun (pre-cut fabric roll from Moda of 1 1/2" strips.) and the panel squares. Love Log Cabin quilts!
Of course there has to be a tote in the book. I love bags, you can never have too many! This one has 4 big pockets inside. Love the size too, it is perfect for shopping or better yet, use it to tote your hand work around with you when you go to visit family and friends for the holidays or anytime.
"Silent Night" pillow has some fun embroidery on it. I have been working on some patterns that use embroidery, so be sure to watch for them! The embroidery on the pillow was done by Sharon Kahle. She does the most amazing work-Thanks Sharon! She did teach me how to stitch like this and I am working on it for future projects, but she did the pillow for the book because I wanted it to actually look good. My stitching is pretty rough right now!
There is many more projects in the book, so I will try to post more pictures soon. All the pictures were taken at my brother and sister-in laws house. It was very nice of them to let me take them there. They have the most beautiful house, unfortunately you don't get to see much of it in the pictures. All the pictures were taken by Bob and Cindy from Robert Photography. They always do such a great job! The book will be ready in a few short weeks. Now to get new projects rolling!
